Hungary, Ukraine, Romania, and Poland are four examples of eastern European countries that gutted their social safety nets in addition to the UK. More Eastern European countries are expected to follow before the end of the 2020s. This will expand to Western European countries in the 2030s. Canada gutted its social safety net beginning in the mid-1980s and is expected to stop having a social safety net by the end of this decade.
