In December 2024, the carbon emissions of our planet are set to fully surpass the threshold of 425 ppm that is the upper civilization tolerance limit. The crossing of this limit will result in the population peaking within 5 years and then starting to decline. This is earlier than the 2064 IMHE prediction and it will result in a decline to ¾ of the projected peak by that year.
