The 1972 book entitled "Limits to Growth" predicted that the planet would face a major and catastrophic economic collapse by 2030-2050 because it is running out of resources necessary for it to sustain human civilization. Our planet was not designed to handle 7.8 billion people. The human population is supposed to peak above 8 billion later this decade and will start to collapse faster than it grew.
