The 22nd amendment states that presidents are limited to two terms in office absolutely. However, it doesn't mention whether or not a president can receive an extra term if he is impeached. Say a president is impeached in his first term and goes on to win an election. He can argue the impeachment decision before the Supreme Court and they can determine that the impeachment process was unconstitutional and a power grab, thus allowing the president to run for a third and final term. The 22nd amendment will never be repealed. It will be subverted.
