The economic plans for Europe and Japan began to resemble America's current economic plans after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 and the Japanese asset bubble collapse of the early 1990s that caused economic stagnation there. We are seeing many European countries impose austerity measures in an attempt to reduce the government debt. Japan is also experiencing privatization of its numerous public services at a faster rate than any other Western oriented country in the world outside of America.
