Trumpism has been prevalent in Canada ever since Trump was elected. You do not need to go abywhere to escape it. There is not going to be any escape from Trumpism in the future. Remember when the PC party of Ontario and the CAQ of Quebec won elections in 2018 and the UCP won the election in Alberta in 2019? Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and most other Canadian provinces are pursuing the same big lie that America is doing. You're seeing it all happen in Europe as well, with the Macron-Le Pen election rematch scheduled for 2022 where the possibility of a military coup is expected if Macron wins. The AfD, Fidesz, PiS, Vox, BJP and the PSL have all pursued the same strategy of right wing 21st century neofascism around the globe. We have seen some elections recently where fascist parties lost only to overthrow the government in a coup such as Thailand in 2014 (where the Trumpism era started) and Myanmar in 2020. Democracy across the globe is facing a final meltdown due to loose fiscal policies in conjunction with austerity measures that increase poverty. This is happening in 85% of the countries of the world, though Chile had a series of constitutional referendums between 2020 and 2022 to try reversing the country's slide towards fascism. Venezuela faced a democratic forwarding situation where its democracy became a left-wing fascist regime. Forwarding is used to refer to a transition to left-wing fascism while backsliding is a transition to right-wing fascism.
